Alon Day leads all NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Elite 1 drivers with three wins in the first six events on the 2019 schedule, but Frederic Gabillon showed everyone why you can’t overlook him on Sunday at Brands Hatch.

Andre Vilarino picked swept the season-opening weekend in Spain with Day, the defending series champion scoring back-to-back wins in Italy and taking Saturday’s first Elite 1 division race of the weekend at Brands Hatch.

Day leads Stienes Longin by just 19 points (220-201) with Nicolo Rocca third. All three drivers have finished in the top-10 in all six races this season with Day the only driver recording top-fives in every event as well.

In the Elite 2 division Giorgio Maggi has one win and leads Vittorio Ghirelli by just four points (196-192) in the tightest battle in the series. Indian native Advait Deodhar has proven he was ready to move up from the Club division to compete in Elite 2 sitting in third place.

Lasse Sorensen leads all drivers with three Elite 2 wins so far this season.
