Hessert Returns to Action in Homestead
Will Make Second NCWTS Start for Germain Racing

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (November 17, 2010) - Tom Hessert will make his second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start in Friday night's Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway. Hessert will pilot Germain Racing's No. 77 Cherry Hill Classics Tundra for his debut at the 1.5-mile, banked oval.

Hessert made his inaugural NCWTS run last week at Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway. Hessert qualified in 21st place, but was sidelined on Lap 85 after being pushed into a wreck. The 24 year-old, Cherry Hill, N.J., native looks to continue his racing education and gain experience at a new venue.

Germain Racing is one of two teams tied for seven consecutive seasons of earning multiple wins in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Hessert Comments on the Ford 200:

"I'm really looking forward to Homestead. I had a lot of fun at Phoenix and enjoyed racing with all of the Truck Series guys. I've never raced on the oval at Homestead. I've only tested on the road course, so I can't wait to hit the track with our Germain Racing Cherry Hill Classics Tundra.

"Last week didn't turn out the way I hoped for, but I learned a lot up to that point about how the truck drives. I feel like what I learned at Phoenix will be a good foundation to build on. It's definitely going to be a lot different driving at a mile-and-a-half than it is at a flat, one-mile oval. I'm sure it will change how my truck handles in traffic and I'll need to get a feel for the best places to make passes.

"I'm really lucky to have Todd Bodine as a teammate. Todd is awesome. I've really enjoyed working with him. He was big help to me at Phoenix and really helped speed up my learning curve. He's a great person to lean on for advice. He's got so much experience in racing, especially in the Truck Series. He's had so much success at the intermediate tracks. Between his experience, and Germain Racing's resources, I couldn't ask for a better opportunity to race at Homestead for my first time and I'm looking forward to having a good race."
