HORNADAY JR. TAKES THE WIN IN THE AAA INSURANCE 200, PRESENTED BY J. D. BYRIDER AT KROGER SPEEDFEST
INDIANAPOLIS (July 24, 2009) The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series put on another tremendous show Friday night, and when the dust settled it was Ron Hornaday Jr. standing alone in victory lane in the AAA Insurance 200, presented by J. D. Byrider during the 2009 Kroger SpeedFest at O'Reilly Raceway Park.
This win enters veteran Hornaday Jr. into the record books, marking his fourth consecutive win. This is the first time this has been accomplished in the history of the series.
However, this win didn't come easy for him, as Hornaday Jr. had to battle the likes of Todd Bodine and Mike Skinner for the win.
"This is special, and Skinner wasn't going to make it easy for me," said Hornaday Jr. following the race. "To race this way and battle on a short track like we did and win it at O'Reilly Raceway Park shows what the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is all about. I grew up on short tracks, and this place has been one of my favorites for me for years."
The 2009 Kroger SpeedFest concludes on Saturday with the running of the Kroger 200, benefitting Riley Hospital for Children, NASCAR Nationwide series race. Tickets are still on sale for both events and can be purchased at any Ticketmaster outlet or at the O'Reilly Raceway Park ticket office.
