Jason White on Bristol: “Bristol is my favorite track and this GunBroker.com team is going into there with a lot of momentum and confidence. It is great short track racing and a lot of fun. Bristol always draws big crowds and has a tremendous amount of excitement around it, and that just adds to a fantastic atmosphere.”

“The track changes they have made will add to the excitement as well and create a little bit of an unknown for all of us. I think the preferred line will be back down on the bottom groove and we always tried to run that in the past. But it may be more of a battle for that low groove which should produce some action once again under the lights in Bristol.”

Jason at Bristol: This will mark Jason’s sixth career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Bristol Motor Speedway. Jason has a best finish of 14th in the 2009 event after leading 86 of the 200 laps. White also led 44 laps in last year’s event but had to settle for a 16th place finish. Jason also has three career NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at the track with a best finish of 32nd in the 2003 event.

Race Rewind: Jason White knew the hard work of his GunBroker.com team was going unnoticed. On Saturday in the Irish Hills of Michigan, it all came together for the young race team and their No. 23 GunBroker.com Ford. White earned a career best second place finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series running of the 13th Annual VFW 200 at Michigan International Speedway. With track position at a premium with limited racing grooves, crew chief Doug George made a decision to gamble and come down pit road just past the halfway mark for fuel right on the edge of their pit window. The strategy would pay off perfectly with Jason charging to the second place finish.

The finish kept Jason in the 10th position in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers’ standings – only 15 points out of the ninth spot.

“Bullet” Rolls into Thunder Valley: The GunBroker.com team will be bringing the truck they nicknamed “Bullet” to Bristol Motor Speedway this week. In honor of the team’s sponsor, GunBroker.com, the GB Racing team uses gun and shooting themed names for most of their trucks – thus the name “Bullet”. “Bullet” last raced at Chicagoland where Jason came home with a solid ninth place finish. This will be the sixth race of the season for “Bullet” with a best finish of sixth at Charlotte in May. “Bullet” has also been White’s choice for Bristol over the last few years including in 2009 where Jason led 86 of the 200 lap event with the truck.

Bristol Dominance: Jason White claims Bristol as his favorite track on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule and the statistics show that. White has led 130 laps (almost 25% of the total laps) during the last three races at the fast half mile track – that is second only behind NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Busch.

The stat that is misleading is the finishes that have eluded Jason during the past three races.

“We have always had one of the best trucks at Bristol over the last three years and we seem to always be plagued by some unfortunate turn of events,” added Jason.

“We are coming off a career best finish last week in Michigan and we have a good chance to top that this week. It’s Bristol and anything can happen.”
