Points Leader Timothy Peters Ready for Racing After A Month On The Bench

* Peters at Kansas...The O'Reilly Auto Parts 200 will mark Timothy Peters' third start at the Kansas Speedway. In two previous starts in 2006 and 2009, Peters started inside the top-11 twice. In 2006, he finished 19th and in 2009 engine failure relegated him to a 24th place finish. Peters will pilot his favorite chassis, affectionately called "Coon Dog" this Sunday. He's piloted that truck in half of the races so far this year, at Atlanta and Nashville, earning top-10 finishes both times.

* Flexing Some Championship Muscle...Few may have expected Timothy Peters to be atop the point standings at this point in the season but the driver and his crew chief Jeff Hensley knew even before the season started that they would be in the championship hunt. Peters led the standings after earning a win in the season opener. He lost it only briefly after a seventh place finish at Atlanta and then turned up the heat in Martinsville with a fourth place finish that helped him reclaim his spot at the top. After Nashville and another fourth place finish, Peters extended his lead to 82 points over the second place driver. With the championship on their minds, the #17 Red Horse Racing team plans to keep that momentum going through the season.

* Consistency is Key...There isn't another Camping World Truck Series driver that is more consistent than Timothy Peters. He is the only competitor to have four top-10 finishes in the first four events of the 2010 season. Earning a win in Daytona, Peters followed up that impressive start with a seventh place finish at Atlanta and then two consecutive fourth place finishes at his two favorite tracks, Martinsville Speedway and Nashville Superspeedway. He has also led laps in three of the four events.

* Soar Like An "Angel"...Timothy Peters is getting a gut check this Friday when he takes flight with the "Fat Albert" Airlines, a division of the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels fleet. Peters will experience a different kind of speed when "Fat Albert" Airlines takes him and members of the media on a test drive. Fat Albert cruises at a speed of more than 320 knots (approximately 360 miles per hour) at 27,000 feet. Four Allison turboprop engines, which produce more than 16,000 shaft-horsepower, provide "Fat Albert" Airlines with the power to land and depart on runways as short as 2,500 feet.

Timothy Peters on racing at Kansas Speedway "Our intermediate program is getting better and better every week. We've had a great start to the season but we need to keep it going. After three weeks off it's hard to get back in the groove but I have all the faith in Jeff, this team and chassis #138. I'm confident we can have another great run at Kansas and hopefully get this #17 Tundra back to Victory Lane."

Equipment Information Timothy Peters will compete with chassis #138 in the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 at the Kansas Speedway. This is the same chassis Peters most recently raced in Nashville four weeks ago. He started second and finished fourth and led 17 laps.
