KBM announces addition of Bolter to staff
Frank Bolter reports directly to team owner Kyle Busch and oversees all of KBM's sales and marketing efforts.
MOORESVILLE, N.C. - Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) announced today that Frank Bolter was recently hired as the director of business development. Bolter reports directly to team owner Kyle Busch and oversees all of KBM's sales and marketing efforts.
Bolter most notably was owner of Corporate Image, a full-service design and graphic provider for the motorsports industry, from 1995 to 2007 before selling the company to Motorsports Designs. In addition to his role at KBM, the Alabama native is currently a partner in Charlotte-based Lead 2 Real Estate Group. He previously served as a business consultant for Billy Ballew Motorsports NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team from 2005 to 2010 and Jason Meyers Elite Racing World of Outlaws Sprint Car operation in 2009. The 40-year-old has held the position of spotter for a variety of motorsports teams, working in recent years for many notable teams, including Andretti Autosport, Chip Ganassi Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing.
"Frank has been around motorsports in a variety of roles over the years and will be an asset to KBM," Busch said. "He brings a fresh perspective to the table and isn't afraid to think outside of the box. With the business side of our sport getting to be just as competitive as the competition on the track, as a company you need to come up with ways to separate yourselves from the other teams and we're confident that with the staff we have in place working under Frank's direction we will be able to continue to do that."
"In his dual role as general manager and director of competition, Rick Ren has done a really nice job of building our company to where this season we have four full-time teams running out of our building," Busch continued. "As we have grown the last few years, we've reached a point where Rick is getting pulled in too many directions and we felt like it was a good time to bring Frank onboard to oversee things on the business side. This move has allowed Rick to put his focus on the competition side, where he has been able to help further the development of the lineup of young drivers we have at KBM and he also has been able to work directly with Toyota on building the 2014 Tundra that we unveiled a few weeks ago in Chicago."
Ren has helped mold KBM into one of the most successful teams in all of NASCAR. In 2010, the team's flagship No. 18 Tundra led the series with eight wins en route to becoming the first team since the Truck Series originated in 1995 to win an Owner's Championship in its inaugural season. To date in four seasons of competition, KBM has collected 22 Truck Series victories and one Nationwide Series win.
