Career at Kentucky:

This will be Todd Bodine's first start at the Kentucky Speedway in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series but he has made two previous starts at the track in the NASCAR Busch Series.

Notes of Interest:

In 2002, Todd Bodine decided to stay and finish the rain delayed NASCAR Busch Series event at the Kentucky Speedway - instead of traveling to Michigan for the Winston Cup race the following day (he had his brother Geoffrey fill in for him in Michigan). Bodine's decision to stay in Sparta, Kentucky turned out to be the right one as the race ended up having one of the most memorable finishes at the Kentucky Speedway.

Bodine took the lead with 10 laps to go and raced side by side beating and banging, with fellow NASCAR Busch Series competitor Greg Biffle, to the very end to win at Kentucky Speedway with a margin of victory of only .036 seconds.

Bodine Comments on the 2002 NASCAR Busch Series Race at Kentucky Speedway:

"We had a great race car that night and we knew it when the rains came. As good as the car was I didn't want to go anywhere. I knew we had a shot to win it so I called my brother and asked him to step into the Cup car the next day."

"It was a great race - it was red-flagged with 5 laps to go and (Greg) Biffle knew my car wasn't that good restarting and took advantage of it. I said, 'To hell with that. He's not going to do that to me and we fought it to the end. It was pretty exciting."

Bodine Comments on the Green/White/Checkered Rule:

"We've got the greatest fans in sports. It's just not fair to them to finish under a yellow flag. I won in Kentucky in the Busch Series after the race was red flagged with only five laps to go. Last week I won after a green/white/checked flag finish. I think we owe it to the fans to put on a great show and the NASCAR Craftsman Trucks Series does that week in and week out. The fans pay to watch the action and I think having the green/white/checkered flag rule helps obtain that."

Bodine Comments on his victory at Kansas Speedway:

"Those guys gave me a fast truck last week. It felt good to be back in victory lane with Toyota. The chemistry Mike, Mike Jr., and I have together is a winning combination and it showed in Kansas. I just want to keep on going and bring home as many wins for the team and Toyota as I can. I can't tell you how great it feels to be back with Germain Racing."
