REUTIMANN EXPECTS BETTER RESULTS AT LOUDON

LOUDON, N.H. (September 14, 2005) -- David Reutimann collected four top-five finishes in his rookie season last year. One of those finishes occurred in his first attempt at New Hampshire International Speedway. This Saturday afternoon Reutimann's vying to be the tenth different NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series winner at the 1.058-mile oval.

"New Hampshire has never had a repeat winner," said Reutimann. "I'd like to help keep that streak alive. Last year, I had my first opportunity to race there. We felt like we unloaded off the trailer good. The fact that we were good off the trailer helped me become acclimated to the track quickly. I was thankful for that because New Hampshire is a tough, flat track and it's really easy to overdrive. New Hampshire should be a good track for us again."

After two tough races in a row, Reutimann's confident he'll bounce back at New Hampshire, where he finished fifth in the No. 17 NTN Bearings Toyota Tundra last season.

"We had a power steering pump problem at Bristol and then we finished 17th at Richmond," said Reutimann. "We plan on turning things back around with a strong finish at New Hampshire."

Reutimann increases his chances at a solid finish by bringing the same truck he raced there last year.

"We've prepared the truck we call chassis two for New Hampshire," said Reutimann. "The best finish we've had in that truckhappened at Loudon. It's the same truck we typically take to short, flat tracks that we race at. This season we racedthat truckat Martinsville and Mansfield. Last season, we raced it at both of those tracks, IRP and then New Hampshire, which is a race I'll probably never forget."

With weather reeking havoc on the series last year, Reutimann's first experience at Loudon was unforgettable.

"We had really bad weather there," said Reutimann. "We all thought there was no way we were going to get the race in. It was still raining slightly when we were making preparations to race. Somehow NASCAR and the track squeezed the event in at the last minute. It was neat to see them pull everything together. They stayed on top of it. I know it was a tough weekend for them because they worked really hard to make the race happen."

Live race coverage of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at New Hampshire on Saturday, September 17th begins at 3 p.m. EDT live on SPEED Channel. MRN Radio will broadcast the event.
