MALSAM AT MILWAUKEE: Friday's race at The Milwaukee Mile will be Malsam's first race at the track known as American's Legendary Oval. Malsam will look to follow up his sixth-place finish at Michigan International Speedway with another solid performance at the one-mile oval.
CHASSIS CHOICE: This weekend, crew chief Doug Wolcott and the No. 81 One Eighty team will unload Randy Moss Motorsports chassis No. 118. This will be the second race for this Toyota Tundra, as the Seattle, Washington native drove this chassis to a 14th-place finish at Martinsville Speedway in March. Prior to Martinsville, this Tundra was a Bill Davis Racing truck, driven by Malsam's current teammate Mike Skinner.
ROOKIE UPDATE: Malsam currently leads the Raybestos Rookie of the Year point standings, holding a two-point lead over second-place Johnny Sauter. The Seattle, Washington native has received the Rookie of the Race honors twice this season at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Lowe's Motor Speedway. Also, Malsam is the highest rookie in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship point standings.
DID YOU KNOW?: In the last seven races, the worst Malsam has finished has been a 14th-place run at Martinsville Speedway.
PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Last week, Malsam and his No. 81 One Eighty team recorded their fourth top-10 finish of the season at Michigan International Speedway, with a sixth-place finish at two-mile D-shaped oval. It was the 20-year-old's career best finish in his 11 NCWTS starts. Malsam is currently tied with Terry Cook for seventh-place in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship point standings, only 23 points behind fifth-place Kyle Busch.
MALSAM (On racing at The Milwaukee Mile): "I've never raced at Milwaukee, so the learning process is going to be the same as all of the other tracks that I've raced on for the first time this season. My One Eighty, Randy Moss team has done a fantastic job of getting me everything that I need on the track. We had a great run last week in Michigan and we're right at the door banging for a top-five finish. I think it is getting really close to our first top-five and once we get it, I think we are capable of getting a win."
