After completing a nine-race ARCA schedule this season that included a victory in his first start, Myatt Snider is set to make his debut in a NASCAR national series race.

Snider, the 21-year-old son of NBC Sports NASCAR TV broadcaster Marty Snider, will make his debut in the Camping World Truck Series in the Nov. 11 race at Phoenix International Raceway.
Myatt will drive the No. 22 Toyota for AM Racing with sponsorship from Original Louisiana Hot Sauce. Austin Wayne Self typically drives the entry.
“This will be a big step up for me,” Snider told Motorsport.com. “I’ve really loved racing in the ARCA Racing Series this season but running the Truck series is a whole different ballgame. Driving a Toyota, I think, is big opportunity for me personally.
“We’ve been trying to put a deal together and trying to make all the right decisions and I think we’re in a good place with AM Racing.”
Snider ran nine ARCA races this season with Cunningham Motorsports and won in his first series start at Toledo.
Prior to this season, Snider, a student at Belmont (N.C.) Abbey College, had been competing primarily in Late Model Stock Cars in both the NASCAR Whelen All-American and CARS Tour series.
Snider said his 2017 racing plans have not been finalized but he believes his experience in ARCA was an important stepping stone in his career.
“It went really well. Being able to work with those guys at Cunningham Motorsports, they do a great job,” he said. “I really appreciated working with them and being able to gain experience on intermediate tracks with them is a great asset.”
