Nazareth, PA- Rick Crawford and the #14 Milwaukee Electric Tool Ford head to the Nazareth Speedway riding a wave of momentum. The team has finished the last three races with two top five and a top ten finish. The #14 Ford has ten top ten and four top five finishes this season.
Nazareth is a tough track to race. The track is similar to a road course with its different turns. It has elevation changes, a long backstretch and one turn is in the middle of the frontstretch. "We look forward to racing at Nazareth Speedway, last year we led some laps at this track. This year we should be able to pick it up a notch and have another top finish," stated driver Rick Crawford.
The #14 Ford has qualified well in the past at Nazareth Speedway. "Last year we qualified fifth and two years ago we sat on the outside of the front row, starting second. This year there is an open test day on Friday providing extra practice time, we plan to have another top qualifying effort," said Crawford.
The team is taking the same race truck that led the most laps and earned the Gatorade Front Runner Award at last weeks race at the Chicago Motor Speedway. "We are bringing a great truck to race this week at Nazareth. Ray Stonkus and the Heavy Duty Crew have worked hard to get the truck ready for this week's race. We had to repair some minor body damage from the bumping and banging at Chicago. The truck is ready to roll," stated Crawford.
Since joining the program, Ernie Elliot has given the #14 Ford strong race engines. The team has finished 6th, 3rd, and 5th respectively. "I am pleased with the way our motor program is going. The last two races we have been the top finishing Ford," commented Crawford.
Crawford and the #14 Milwaukee Electric Tool Ford will take the green flag in the Chevy Silverado 200 at Nazareth Speedway, Sunday August 26, at 12:30 p.m. EST. The event will be telecast live on ESPN and broadcast on MRN Radio.
