Jason White Carries Momentum to Texas

After running up-front the last two weeks at both the shortest and longest tracks that the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series visits each season, Jason White and the SS Green Light Racing team are ready to travel to the mile and a half Texas Motor Speedway for a Friday night fight in hopes of earning his first career victory.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will join White and GunBroker.com on the No. 23 Toyota Tundra for the Winstar World Casino 350k at the high-banked tri-oval speedway just northwest of Dallas.

White is having his best season in the NCWTS since becoming a regular in the series back in 2007; he has three top-five and seven top-ten finishes in addition to two front-row starts and is currently six positions higher and has earned 250 points more than his previous best in 2009 after twenty-two races. Three mid-season mechanical failures are the only things that have held White back from being even higher in the standings.

White has eight previous starts at Texas Motor Speedway, the most of any track the series visits. His best finish was eighth at the spring race in 2009. Jason qualified sixth at Texas back in June, but was forced to make a late pit stop for fuel, dropping him to thirteenth at the checkers.

Jason sits tenth in the NCWTS point standings with three races remaining in the 2010 schedule. He is sixty-nine points ahead of Ricky Carmichael for the coveted tenth spot in the standings.

"The last couple weeks we've been very strong. Man, we've had fast trucks... fast enough to win." White said. "The guys have been working really hard and I think we are going to have a good GunBroker.com truck this week. When you get momentum on your side you need to take advantage of it. I'm excited because we were fast back here in June and I think we'll be fast again. I love to race at Texas."

The Winstar World Casino 350k is White's 102nd NCWTS start and the 243rd consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team.
