CARMICHAEL AT TEXAS: Carmichael will be making his third NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Texas Motor Speedway. In his previous attempts at the 1.5-mile quad-oval, he's secured an 11th and 12th-place finish.
CARMICHAEL ON TRUCKS: Prior to enjoying an off-weekend, Carmichael made his on-track debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway where he brought home a 14th-place finish after starting the race in the 19th-position. So far this season, Carmichael has scored one top-five (Dover) and two top-10 finishes (Atlanta and Martinsville) in the first seven races of the 2010 season.
CARMICHAEL ON COMPETING AT TEXAS: "The last two times I was at Texas in a truck we did pretty well. I just really like the track -- it's a fun track for me and I always look forward to going there. It's multi-grooved so you can pass well. Hopefully we'll unload good like we have been for the most part all year. I've got a good feeling about the race and after having a couple of weeks where I was going to tracks I've never raced on, it's really nice to go somewhere familiar that I can really be mentally prepared for."
BEHIND THE WHEEL: Crew chief Mike Fritts has chosen Turner Motorsports chassis No.10 for Carmichael to pilot at Texas. Carmichael last wheeled this chassis to a 14th-place finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway, a sister track to Texas. Chassis No. 5 will serve as the team's back-up truck.
BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW: Carmichael will be racing with some of the biggest names in motorsports in this year's "Prelude to the Dream." The 15-time AMA champion will be racing with Team St. Jude's Children's Hospital in the Prelude and, with the help of the fans, hopes to raise a lot of money for the children's hospital. Fans can text "Jude" to 90999 to donate.
