Almirola Went Three-Wide for Win

NEWS, NOTES & NUMBERS: This year, Tundra drivers have combined for six wins, 25 top-five results, 48 top-10 finishes and three poles after the first nine NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races ... Toyota racers have led more than half of all laps this season (746 of 1,404 laps) ... Todd Bodine has recorded six consecutive top-10 finishes, including three straight top-two results ... Five Tundra drivers are currently in the top-10 in the NCWTS point standings -- Todd Bodine (first), Aric Almirola (second), Timothy Peters (third), Mike Skinner (sixth) and David Starr (eighth) ... The NCWTS takes a month break from competition and will return to action at Iowa Speedway, July 11.

ARIC ALMIROLA, No. 51 Zyclara/Graceway Pharmaceuticals Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports

Were you nervous racing three-wide for the lead at the end of the Michigan race?

"I didn't think it was the greatest place to be. I knew we were going to run wide open through the corner and we were either going to crash or we were going to make it out the other side because I knew how important clean air was. That was my only shot to get out in the lead and if I didn't get out in the lead then there was no chance of us winning the race. I went down in turn one and I knew that I was going to run a shorter distance than Todd (Bodine) so I just tried to hold tight on Kyle's (Busch) door to get him loose, which I did and by the time I got off turn two, I almost cleared Todd. Then when we went through (turns) three and four, I cleared him. I think that was the move of the race as far as I'm concerned."
