Inaugural Event: Transnet Racing founded in 2001 will attempt to make their NASCAR Busch Series debut this Sunday from Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. The organization enters the NASCAR Busch Series following several successful years of open wheel competition.

Diversity Driver At The Helm: Garcia, a native of Venezuela is looking to add his name to an already impressive NASCAR diversity driver lineup. Garcia hopes to embrace the competition while hoping to add his name into the record books by becoming the first NASCAR winner hailing from Venezuela. Garcia joins past and present drivers Bill Lester, Carlos Contreras, Juan Pablo Montoya, Aric Almirola and Hideo Fukuyama as competitors fitted under the diversity banner.

2007 NASCAR Busch Series Schedule: In preparation for a full championship season in 2008, Transnet Racing with driver Alex Garcia will participate in a minimum of 12 NASCAR Busch Series events starting this weekend in Mexico City. The team's next attempt will come later this month at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee.

Welcome Aboard: Transnet Racing welcomes Dixien LLC and OmniSource Corporation who will back the team's effort this season. Dixien LLC. is a full service, tier one supplier of Metal Stampings, Welded Assemblies and Plastic Components based in Georgia.

OmniSource Corporation is the largest privately held scrap processor in the United States. OmniSource can provide a variety of services, from vacuum processing of alloy solids to scrap management services for a variety of industry segments.

Seat Time Crucial: Driver Alex Garcia knows that seat time is crucial in the transition from open wheels to stock cars. In addition to his NBS (NASCAR Busch Series) outings, Transnet Racing will compete in select ARCA RE/MAX Series events. Garcia made his ARS (ARCA RE/MAX Series) debut at Salem Speedway in September 2006 finishing 20th after starting 28th.

Veterans Aboard: Transnet Racing has hired Jason Roche and Tony Micale to aid in the team's NASCAR Busch Series debut this weekend. Roche will serve as crew chief for the season, while Micale will assist Garcia from up above as the team's spotter. Both have a lengthy professional background in the Motorsports industry making them an asset.

Transnet Racing, Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez Pre-Race Quotes:

Alex Garcia, driver of the No. 98 Dixien-OmniSource Corporation Chevrolet:

On Joining The NASCAR Busch Series: "Everyone at Transnet Racing is excited about competing in the NASCAR Busch Series. It doesn't get much better than this. Everyone has been very supportive. I know this is the right move for Transnet Racing and we're looking forward to it."

On The Recent Test Preparing For This Weekend's Race: "I was very pleased with the test session we had a few weeks ago. We took our road course car to South Carolina to a local track there. We spent the entire day shaking the car down, making changes and working together with my crew. We learned a lot that I think can help us tremendously this weekend."

On Returning To His Racing Roots: "I don't think I could have picked a better place for our debut in the NASCAR Busch Series. I've never competed at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, but I've been able to study track pictures and watch prior races which I think helps anyone. It's just nice to return to a road course. I'm looking forward to getting on the track."

On His 2007 NASCAR Busch Series Limited Schedule: "I am very confident in the races we've chosen. Our team is capable of running competitively in the NASCAR Busch Series. We've spent a lot of time making sure we have everything possible to make ourselves competitive. We'll compete on the road courses, some short tracks and some superspeedways. I think it's going to be a great learning year for us and will help us prepare for the future."
