GREG BIFFLE-60-Charter Communications Ford Taurus (Finished 4th)

THE GAMBLE DIDN'T PAY OFF FOR YOU. "It didn't. We made a huge mistake on our part. It's hard learning, I guess. There's no excuse for it. We just should have come in and we didn't. I don't know what else to say. We lost all of our track position and almost went a lap down. The whole field came in. Shame on us, it was our mistake. We, every once in a while, make a bad call, I guess. The Charter car was obviously the fastest car today. Once I got back in that traffic, it was a little tight and running a little hot, so I didn't want to overheat and got behind people; we were pretty aggressive on the front tape. Then there at then end, everybody was running into each other and I got into the back of the 27. I feel bad about that, but I got jacked up from behind. It was pretty crazy, but I guess that's why they sell out Bristol, and that's why all of these fans pay their money to see this race. It's pretty exciting and they got their money's worth today."

WERE YOU SURPRISED BY THE NUMBER OF CAUTIONS TODAY? "It wasn't my decision to stay out, but that's racing I guess. It's unfortunate because we had a really good car. You're going to make mistakes, and nobody is perfect. That's just the way it goes."

MIKE WALLACE-4-GEICO/Sportclips Ford Taurus (Finished 10th)

WHAT DID YOU SEE AT THE END OF THE RACE? "I was more concerned about racing the 12 car because everybody got stacked up, and if I would have went to the outside, you would have gone nowhere. He was bouncing off of the side of me going down the front straightaway and then they were wrecking on the back. They're going, 'Wreck, no caution, keep digging.' So you're racing through the wrecks, which was surprising, and then another wreck happened down here and you raced through that. We went from 15th to 10th in the last few laps and I'm real happy for our team. The GEICO Ford ran well, we just missed the chassis setup all day long. It's just like I told Tony (Lambert), 'It's not going to show in the stats how we finished 10th, but we did.'"

ARE YOU SURPRISED WITH THE FEW CAUTIONS TODAY THAT THERE WAS A BIG ACCIDENT AT THE END? "You knew there was going to something big. NASCAR gave a Bristol finish. You don't red flag this thing with 14 to go and run it for four laps to get a single file restart, and then expect nothing to happen at Bristol. It's Bristol racing and that's why there are so many people in the grandstands. It's nothing surprising, and I'm just glad we weren't involved in any of it and we didn't get called to the trailer, so we're in good shape."

JASON KELLER-22-Bear Creek Soups Ford Taurus (Finished 8th)

WHAT DID YOU SEE AT THE END OF THE RACE? "I was dodging it. We lost a little bit of track position in the middle part of the race and just really couldn't recover. The 32 car is going to have a lot of DNFs in his future if he keeps driving like that. He just ran over a couple of cars up there. We just missed it by a little bit."

DID THE LIMITED NUMBER OF CAUTION FLAGS SURPRISE YOU TODAY? "I really was. I thought those guys (Biffle, Hamilton) were in trouble because track position was so key. Biffle got back there with me on equal tires and couldn't go anywhere. It was just so hard to pass. Goodyear brought too good of a tire."

WAS THE TIRE THE MAIN REASON IT WAS SO HARD TO PASS? "It was a great tire, don't get me wrong, you really had a lot of grip, but, unfortunately, it limited our passing. But, we've wanted this tire and this type of tire for a while, so I'm not going to complain about it, we just have to work with it."
