(Mooresville, N.C.)----Winston Cup regular Chad Little will drive the No. 74 BACE Motorsports Chevrolet at both Busch Series events at Lowe's Motor Speedway (Charlotte, N.C.) and at Homestead Miami Speedway (Homestead, Fl.). Terry Wooten will stand in as crew chief for both races. BACE Motorsports currently fields the No. 33 Bayer Chevrolet driven by the 1999 Busch Series Rookie of the Year, Tony Raines.

Little tested the No. 74 yesterday at Lowe's Motor Speedway and will continue testing today. He stated, "the 74 has a great history behind it. BACE won three Grand National Championships with it and two Rookie of the Year titles.

"The team and Bill (Baumgardner) have made me feel at home here. I've spent a number of days at the shop and some time with Tony (Raines). The atmosphere is really good and they're just eager to get this going."

Team owner Bill Baumgardner said, "Chad (Little) will make an excellent addition to BACE's efforts this year. He works well with our staff and is as excited as we are about racing at Charlotte and Homestead.

"It'll be thrilling to see the No. 74 back on the track. We started BACE
with the 74. It means the world to us to have that team active again."

Tony Raines, currently fifteenth in the Busch Series Points Standings, looks forward to having a teammate. "Chad being in the 74 is going to help us all out. Having an experienced veteran around is only going to enable us to get our momentum back. He's gotten some wins in the Busch Series and he knows how these cars behave. He'll bring a lot to the remainder of this year's program."

Chad Little claimed the runner-up position in the Busch Grand National Standings in 1995 and fifth in 1996. He finished fifteenth and twenty-third, respectively, in the 1998 and 1999 NASCAR Winston Cup Points Standings.

BACE Motorsports holds three Busch Series Championship titles (1995, 1996, 1997) and two Rookie of the Year titles (1994, 1999). Among winning four NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races and acquiring the 1996 ASA Championship, Raines secured the title of 1999 Busch Series Rookie of the Year with BACE Motorsports.
