David Green on Loudon: David Green, driver of the AFG Glass Team 34 Chevrolet, has performed well at the 1.058-mile oval in the NASCAR Busch Series.

"It has been a few years since I have competed in a Busch car at Loudon," said Green. "The last time I ran there in 1996, I sat on the pole and finished third, so hopefully we can do even better this time around. Since that event, I've competed there in Winston Cup races, but NHIS is a track where there is not that much difference between a Winston Cup car and a Busch car. The most important factor in being successful at Loudon is the driver maintaining the perfect rhythm between being aggressive and being patient. You've got to have a good handling car, but the driver's experience is key to getting to victory lane."

AFG Glass Team 34 Chevrolet has a new featured associate sponsor for this weekend's Busch 200 at NHIS. KAS-KEL Windows from Fonda, NY will appear on the rear quarter panel of the Team 34 Chevrolet. This is the first time the window manufacturer has been featured on the AFG Glass Chevrolet. AFG Glass features a different associate sponsor each event to partner with the manufacturers that use their glass products. KAS-KEL Windows was founded in 1946 and has been known as a leader in innovative window design since 1953. The family owned and operated business is now one of the largest window manufacturers in the Northeast.

AFG Glass will host 39 special guests at Loudon this weekend. The visitors are employees and guests from AFG's St. Augustin Plant in Quebec, Canada. The French-speaking guests are all accustomed to the Formula One Series and Champ car racing, typically cheering their hometown hero, Jacques Villenueve. This will be their first NASCAR experience and they have a new hero to cheer for, David Green, the driver of the AFG Glass Chevrolet. Green and the AFG Glass showcar will visit the St. Augustin Plant on Monday, May 15th following the Loudon event.

"The one sure way of turning people into NASCAR fans is bringing them to a race," said Green. "It is a lot of fun seeing the reaction people get when they hear the roar of a stock car engine for the first time. Not taking anything away from open-wheel racing, but the NASCAR experience is amazing, simply because our fans are so enthusiastic."

The AFG Glass Team 34 is taking the same car to Loudon that raced earlier this year at Nashville and Richmond. <pre> David Green / New Hampshire International Speedway Statistics:
