"The Champagne of Beers" Joins Forces with NASCAR Legendary driver, Bill Elliott

(Mooresville, N.C.) -- Miller Brewing Company and the High Life brand are proud to announce the addition of NASCAR racing legend Bill Elliott to its racing family of drivers. Elliott will pilot the No. 64 Miller High Life car owned by legendary NEXTEL Cup driver, Rusty Wallace in three events for the 2005 season. The former Cup Series Champion will carry the brand's familiar red, white and gold paint scheme for two events; Milwaukee and Indianapolis Raceway Park. The car will carry a blue, white and silver paint scheme at the Nashville SuperSpeedway in honor of the brand's light beer, Miller High Life Light

The native from Dawsonville, Georgia, made one start in the NBS last year at Memphis Motorsports Park where he qualified on the outside pole. The Milwaukee event will be Elliott's first race in the NBS for the 2005 season; the Cup Series Champion will compete for a win on behalf of hometown Miller Brewing Company, where the company began doing business back in 1855.

"I'm honored to drive the Miller High Life car for Rusty Wallace. This is a first-class organization and I'm proud to be back in this Series," said Elliott, who has one win in the NBS back in 1993 at Watkins Glen. "It's great to be back with the fans and on board with Miller High Life. I'm really looking forward to working with these guys to see if we can put this No. 64 car in victory lane."

Rusty Wallace formed his NBS team in 2004 with Billy Parker and Jamie McMurray behind the wheel; the team garnered their first win in November of 2004 at Darlington Raceway with McMurray. The 2005 season brought many changes for the organization; including Miller High Life coming on-board as a sponsor for 17 races with Cup Series veteran, Jeremy Mayfield.

"I'm really looking forward to having Bill Elliott drive this race car. I can't think of anyone better to sit in the seat than a champion and legend like him," said 55-time Cup winner and car owner, Rusty Wallace. "It would be awesome to bring home a victory for Miller High Life in Milwaukee."
