John Hayden Officially Parts Way With Premier Motorsports
"Rookie Driver Will Concentrate On '04 Plans"

OWENSBORO, KENTUCKY (SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2003) - - NASCAR Busch Series rookie John Hayden officially announced today that he has resigned as the driver of the No. 85 Premier Glass Chevrolet.

Premier Motorsports, along with Hayden made the transition from the ARCA RE/MAX Series this year. The Kentucky based team made ten events this season with their latest entry occurring at Lowes Motor Speedway.

In a limited schedule, the team has obviously struggled. The team achieved their best qualifying run earlier this year at Indianapolis Raceway Park where John piloted the Premier Glass sponsored machine to a 23rd place starting position. The night only got better for the team as they stayed out of trouble and crossed the line 18th, their second top-twenty finish of the year, also a career best finish.

The team finished 18th earlier in the season at Nashville Superspeedway's second event. After making the field on a provisional (39th), Hayden roared through the field and collected their first top-twenty finish of the year.

"The NASCAR Busch Series continues to become one of the best competitive series in all of NASCAR, and I just didn't feel like we were performing at the level that we needed to be," stated former driver John Hayden.

"We made the move from ARCA and had high hopes for the season, but it became a battle of making the field and finishing the race, I felt a change needed to be made, and I took the action," he continued.

Hayden who scored a career best finish of second in the ARCA RE/MAX Series last year coincidentally also coming from NSS (Nashville Superspeedway) felt he left the team on good terms.

"I want to thank everyone on the Premier Motorsports team for all their hard work and efforts this season. I'm confident that the team will do well in their future endeavors."

As for the Kentucky resident, he is currently exploring his options for the 2004 season. "I've been talking to some people, but nothing solid at this point. I'm sure that something will come together that will once again put me behind the wheel in the NASCAR Busch Series."
