SPARTANBURG, SC (November 10, 2003) -- Coming off their second win of the season, the #1 Dodge team is determined to sustain the excitement as they head to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the final NASCAR Busch Series race of the 2003 season. This is where point battles will be determined, a champion will be crowned, and all of the teams will have their final chance at taking home a trophy in 2003.

As the 2003 season comes to an end, Team Yellow drivers Jamie McMurray and David Stremme, along with car chief Jon Wolfe, looked back at an eventful 2003 campaign.

"This has been a great season for me," McMurray said. "Getting the two wins at Rockingham, and that wild second place finish in Darlington are great memories. Working with (David) Stremme has been a lot of fun. He has a lot of talent and I'm glad to call him a teammate and a friend. This has been a successful season, and it sure would be fun to take home one more trophy for everyone at Yellow Transportation."

Co-driver David Stremme said, "This season has been an amazing learning experience for me. I knew coming into the season that it would be interesting, but I had no idea just how challenging, yet fun, it would be."

In addition to his on-track education, Stremme learned a lot about the way racing works off-track. "I have had lots of opportunities off the track to meet Yellow employees and to learn more about the Yes We Can attitude that everyone has at Yellow. I've also learned how important the race team is to Yellow employees throughout the company."

Stremme noted that the enthusiasm of the employees positively impacts the race team, too. "No other sponsor gets behind their team like Yellow. I am looking forward to representing Yellow next year, and hopefully adding some trophies to the shelves in Kansas City."

Car chief Jon Wolfe had this to say. "This has been a very successful year for the #1 team. We have two wins, a possible Rookie-of-the-Year, and we have built a strong team. We overcame moving our shop in the middle of the season, which I don't think many teams could do. I am so proud of where we are right now and I'm looking forward to lots of testing in the off season so we can continue to improve."

This weekend, driver Jamie McMurray will be behind the wheel of the #1 car with Yellow Transportation as an associate sponsor. Co-driver David Stremme will be driving the #30 Braun Racing Dodge as he continues his run for the Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year award.

The Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Motor Speedway will be held on Saturday, November 15. The race will be aired live on NBC and be broadcast live on MRN beginning at 12:00 p.m. EDT. Qualifying for the event will take place Thursday, November 13 at 2:45 p.m. EDT and will be aired on the Speed Channel.
