Jason Jefferson To Make NASCAR Busch Series Career Debut With GIC Mixon Motorsports in Phoenix

MOORESVILLE, NC - GIC Mixon Motorsports announced that Jason Jefferson will make his NASCAR Busch Series career debut this weekend in the Bashas' Supermarkets 200 at Phoenix International Raceway.

"We are pleased to have Jason in the car for this week's race," said team co-owner James Whitener. "He has an impressive racing career in NASCAR's West Series, and we are happy to give him the opportunity to debut in this weekend's race."

Jefferson, a native of Yakima, Washington, has made a name for himself in NASCAR's regional racing series competing in the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series, NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Northwest Series, and NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series. Jefferson brings a one-race sponsorship deal and will pilot the No. 24 Yakama Nation Legends Tribal Gaming Chevrolet Monte Carlo entry around the D-shaped oval.

"I've got a little bit of experience racing at the Phoenix track, and I am confident that starting at a track I am familiar with will give me an advantage," said Jefferson. "I'm excited and thrilled for this weekend's race and for the opportunity that GIC Mixon Motorsports has given me."

Legends Casino is owned and operated by the Yakama Nation and is one of central Washington's premier gaming and entertainment destinations.

"We at Yakima Nation Legends Tribal Gaming are proud to be associated with Jason Jefferson and be a part of the NASCAR Busch Series," says Yakama Nation Legends Tribal Gaming General Manager Rich Leman.

GIC Mixon Motorsports is co-owned by James Whitener and Gregg Mixon and will also field the No. 93 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Steve Grissom in Saturday's NBS race, as well as the No. 93 Quality Plus Services Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Geoffrey Bodine in Sunday's NNC race.

PSE-3 is the public relations and sponsorship sales firm for GIC Mixon Motorsports.
