Dover Downs International Speedway -- September 22, 2001
Jeff Green On Dover: Jeff Green, 2000 NASCAR Busch Series Champion, is looking to change his luck at "The Monster Mile."
"Dover has been a 'monster' to the Nesquik Racing team the past few times for sure," said Green. "Last fall we were involved in an accident coming to the caution flag and during the spring race, we had mechanical problems and crashed into the wall as well. At this point, if I stay out of the wall it will be a successful day! Every time we have run the Nesquik car there, we have been really fast and capable of winning the race. I know we will have the same opportunity this weekend, we just need to have some good luck to go with it."
Special Car Design: Green will drive the No. 10 Nestlé Toll House Ford Taurus this weekend at Dover. It is the first time Nestlé USA has run this paint scheme. The only other special car design they have ran in the past was the Nestea car, which ran at three different events during the 2000-2001 season.
Nestle USA Relief Effort: Nestlé USA has donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross. Each division within Nestlé has donated various products to the relief effort. The Beverage Division, which sponsors the No. 10 Nesquik Ford Taurus, has donated Taster's Choice, Juicy Juice, Carnation Coffee-mate and Carnation Hot Cocoa.
Equipment: Green and his Nesquik Racing team are taking the same car to Dover they won with at Charlotte earlier this year. The car has also competed earlier this year at Fontana, Dover spring, Pikes Peak and the Darlington fall event as well.
Jeff Green Appearance: Green will be signing autographs on Friday, Sept. 21st from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the Dewalt Rolling Thunder trackside display. Green will sign autographs will fellow drivers, Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle and Hank Parker, Jr.
