BUSCH: Las Vegas: Brewco Motorsports preview

Ward Burton will be making his first ever NASCAR Busch Series start at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Burton will be the sixth different driver to pilot the #27 Brewco Motorsports entry at LVMS. Other drivers were David Green ('06, '05; Johnny Sauter '04; Chase Montgomery '03; Jamie McMurray '02, '01; and Casey Atwood '00)

The Sam's Town 300 will be contested on the newly-revamped Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Changes to the 1.5-mile track since last year include an increase in the banking in the turns from 12 to 20 degrees and adding six degrees of banking on the backstretch - three to nine.

Jorge Goeters piloted the #27 Scotiabank/Star Motorsports/Xtremme Gel/Kleenex® Ford in the Mexico 200 last Sunday in Mexico City. Goeters qualified 4th and finished 7th - the first top ten for the #27 Brewco Motorsports team since July, 2006 at Gateway International Raceway (David Green - 7th). Goeters led three laps during the race - the first laps led by the #27 this season.

Brewco Motorsports will debut a custom paint scheme for the Sam's Town 300. The #27 Scott® Extra Soft Ford Fusion will race at Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Bristol. Smith's will be the retail customer displayed on the quarter panels for Las Vegas.
