LAS VEGAS BUSINESS EXECUTIVE STARTS NEW NASCAR TEAM
Kevin Conway named as driver for Carver Racing

Mooresville, N.C. (May 4, 2006) -- Las Vegas-based business executive David Carver announced today the formation of Carver Racing. The new team will participate in the NASCAR Busch Series during the 2006 season. Kevin Conway, a native of Lynchburg, Va., will drive the No. 40 Dodge and compete for the Rookie of the Year award. The team is set to make its debut at Richmond International Raceway this Friday.

The organization is led by General Manager Joe Whitley, who has been involved in the motorsports industry for 25 years, and Crew Chief Steve Plattenberger, a long-time veteran of the Busch Series. Carver Racing is based in Mooresville, N.C.

David Carver, who has 30 years of experience in the construction and development field, is no stranger to the sports arena. He is currently a principal in the Triple Crown of Polo, the foremost polo series in the United States.

"I'm really excited about being involved in NASCAR," said David Carver. "We've put together a team of talented and experienced personnel, and we're all looking forward to having success both on and off the track."

For the 27-year-old Conway, who is a veteran of the USAC open wheel series and the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series, this opportunity to compete full-time in the Busch Series is the next step in his career.

"I've been working to get to this level since I was six years old. Now I have a great chance to prove what I'm capable of doing," said driver Kevin Conway. "We may be a new team, but we have an experienced group of people in place, I'm excited to show the rest of the NASCAR industry what we're all about."

In three previous NASCAR Busch Series starts this season, Conway has a best finish of 28th place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 11.
