Richmond on My Mind...Richmond International Raceway has been on Jason Keller's mind since the start of the 2004 season. This track is Keller's favorite on the circuit and he has experienced a wealth of success here in his 20 starts. The South Carolina native has two poles, one win, five top-5's and ten top-10's at Richmond. Keller loves this track because it's not only driver friendly but it's a race fan's delight. With the two racing grooves Richmond has to offer; drivers can race door to door for several laps, which makes for an exciting race for the fans to watch.

Resealing Richmond--This will be the first race at Richmond International Raceway since the resurfacing of the race track has been done. It should make for a faster racing groove for the drivers and a wealth of excitement for the fans; as the speeds of the cars are expected to set blistering records in qualifying on Thursday. Keller is interested to see how the new softer tires will react to the revamped racing surface.

Sponsorship Update--This will be the fourth race of the season that Jason Keller will enter the field with a white hood on his race car. The Miller High Life sponsorship ppc Racing obtained for the 2004 season will be an associate sponsor on Keller's car this weekend, along with his weekly associates, Bear Creek Soups and Airplus Insoles. The Miller High Life brand will return to the hood of Keller's race car in two weeks for the Carquest Auto Parts 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The Car--The Miller High Life crew will be bringing car #57-21 to the track this weekend. This was the same car Keller drove to a second place finish at Memphis last year. The team also brought this car to Nazareth and Loudon, where Keller posted an 11th and 7th place finish in those two races.

Quotes:

Keller on racing at Richmond--"You know this track isn't similar to any other track that we race at. It is extremely different in turns 1 & 2 than it is in turns 3 & 4. The track is so wide in turns 3 & 4 and then in 1 & 2, you almost have to bring your car to a stop to get through the corners. Your car is never going to run great here all the way around the race track because the turns are so different. So you just have to get it right in one end or the other and then drive it. It's definitely a challenging race track to drive."

Keller on the resurfacing at Richmond--"The resurfacing needed to be done here; they had a lot of trouble last year with the track. I think with the new tires though, you'll see that the tire will start to blister faster. I just hope the speed from the resurfacing doesn't hinder the side-by-side racing that makes Richmond such a fun track to race on. The one good thing about Richmond is that there are several racing grooves. Hopefully, the new found speed doesn't limit that to just one groove."

Keller on his top-five finish at Gateway--"We had a great day at Gateway. We qualified and raced well and the team communicated efficiently all day. Days like that are easy. We need to all be on the same page and we proved that we could do that this past weekend. This team is very capable of these top-five finishes and we look forward to carrying that momentum over into this weekend's race at Richmond."
