DAVIDSON, North Carolina - December 19, 2000 - The Busch Series Ladies Association (BSLA) has received an unprecedented amount of support for its first event of the 2001 season. The greatest assistance comes from the return of Team Monte Carlo as the presenting sponsor for the second year in a row. The Ninth Annual Busch Series Preview presented by Team Monte Carlo will take place Friday, January 5 at the Charlotte Convention Center from 1:00 - 9:00 p.m. "We are excited to once again be affiliated with the Busch Series Preview," commented Sue Seaglund of GM Racing. "The Busch Series Ladies Association has put together an event that really gets the fans ready for another great season of racing, and this is our way to show appreciation to our drivers for making the NASCAR Busch Series so thrilling to watch every weekend."

Many drivers are expected to attend including two-time NASCAR Busch Series' Champion, Randy LaJoie; NASCAR Busch Series' Rookie of the Year, Kevin Harvick and fan favorites such as Tim Fedewa, Jason Keller, Jimmie Johnson, Elton Sawyer, Tony Raines and Chad Little. With the help of the Nestlé Corporation, the spotlight will be on 2000 NASCAR Busch Series Champion, Jeff Green, as he signs autographs from the Nestlé Nesquik Champion's Corner. "The #10 Nestlé Nesquik Racing family had a spectacular year," stated Gary Greene, Director of Motorsports for Nestlé. "The Nestlé Nesquik Champion's Corner will be the center of celebration with Jeff, the Nesquick bunny, our #10 Nestlé Nesquik show car and more. It's our way of saying thank you to the fans. We hope we can give them another great year of racing."

Charlotte radio station, 96.9 KAT Country - WKKT will be on hand with a big display complete with show car, a bandelero and other activities. Fans can meet the person behind the familiar voice of KAT Country's morning show, Paul Schadt, in addition to other KAT Country personalities.

With the help of North Carolina Speedway, KAT Country will promote the upcoming Busch Preview for the next three weeks by offering prize pack giveaways. Call-in winners will receive two tickets to the Speedway's "Alltel 200" NASCAR Busch race in February, two tickets to the Ninth Annual Busch Preview presented by Team Monte Carlo, and will be automatically entered for the grand prize drawing for two tickets to the NASCAR Winston Cup race at North Carolina Speedway in addition to two passes to the Carolina Concourse Hospitality area.

Thanks to Anheuser-Busch, an event t-shirt has been made and will be on sale along with NASCAR Busch Series credential holders at the Preview. Also, Aaron's Sales and Lease Ownership, sponsor of the #99 Chevy driven in the NASCAR Busch Series by Michael Waltrip, has donated an RCA 56" big screen projection television valued at $2,500. Chances can be purchased at the Busch Preview and the prize will be awarded in May at the TD2 Marketing Annual Golf Classic at the Rocky River Golf Club on May 22 - an event that also supports the Busch Series Ladies Association.

Admission to The Ninth Annual Busch Series Preview presented by Team Monte Carlo is a $10 donation to the Busch Series Ladies Association and children under 12 are offered free admission. Proceeds go to support the many efforts of the BSLA. The BSLA, founded in 1996, works to promote the sport of stock car racing through its programs of assistance and support for all Busch Series families. This effort includes raising funds to provide financial help for all race participants suffering injury or tragedy.
