BUSCH: Wayne Grubb Update

Busch Grand National driver, Wayne Grubb, came back home late Saturday night and is in better spirits today. Grubb, who suffered a broken right shoulder blade in Saturday's Busch event at Atlanta, did not require surgery as originally anticipated. After further examination doctors waived off any type of surgical repair to the broken bone and have sent Grubb home to Mechanicsville where he will be examined by other specialist. "There is really not much they can do with a shoulder injury like this but to just give it time to heal" stated team spokesperson Michelle Grubb. It seems as though Grubb will be a tough one to keep still. First thing Monday morning he was at the race shop talking with the team and trying to decide on a replacement driver. Grubb also had looked over the car from the crash in Atlanta to see if anything could have been done to prevent the injury. "The bone just snapped from the g-force of the crash, my belts and seat did just as they are designed to, it was just that the force of my body trying to continue forward motion that broke the bone" said the injured Grubb.

Several drivers have been contacted in regard to taking over the driving duties for Grubb Motorsports but at this time no driver has been named to run the upcoming Darlington Busch event. That announcement is expected in the next two days.
