The Canadian qualified his King Autosport Camaro in 36th place. Roy finished the first segment in 20th place. He then ran in the top 15 for most of the second segment, running as high as sixth at times. Unfortunately, a rival lost control his car right in front of him at the end of the segment, and Roy got sandwiched between two cars and headed straight into the wall. His car was hit by another competitor moments later, and that was it for his race.

The team detected an oil leak on the pre-grid, followed by a small fire that was quickly contained. This forced the team to retire the Green/Lazare car before the start of the race.
