Chicagoland: Dodge teams qualifying quotes

BRAD KESELOWSKI (No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Charger) Qualified 2nd "We'll take it. Man, it's hot out there and you never know how the sun is going to affect the track and your car. We picked up two-tenths (of a second) and the track got hotter, so ...

BRAD KESELOWSKI (No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Charger) Qualified 2nd

"We'll take it. Man, it's hot out there and you never know how the sun is going to affect the track and your car. We picked up two-tenths (of a second) and the track got hotter, so that's something to be proud of for sure. The Discount Tire Dodge Charger and this whole team seem to give me speed when it counts and that's a great feeling. I think it will probably end up in the top five for sure. The 18 car looks really strong this weekend, so we'll have to see what happens. The race is a whole new ballgame. We've been out in the heat all afternoon and we know that the track is going to change tonight during the race. We've done our job during practice and qualifying, now we just have to get into race mode and try to get the best finish that we can. Our car is fast. It would be great to put this Discount Tire Dodge in victory lane."

JUSTIN ALLGAIER (No. 12 Verizon Wireless Dodge Charger) Qualified 11th

"Our Verizon Wireless Dodge was OK. We're a lot better than we were in practice earlier in the day. We caught a little bit of cloud cover, but I don't think I got through the middle of the corners like I needed to."

WILL THE CAR SETUP CHANGE DRAMATICALLY WITH THE RACE BEING AT NIGHT? "To be honest with you, I think we set our car more for the nighttime than day. We felt like if we gave away some in qualifying that our race combination would be better. We did and that's OK. The funny part is that Chicagoland Speedway changes a lot as it goes into night. It actually starts out tight and frees up in the end. Hopefully, we'll be good on the last run when it counts."
