Brennan Poole’s early success in the NASCAR XFINITY Series has earned the 23-year-old rookie two additional starts for HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi.

Poole will pilot the No. 42 DC Solar Chevy at the two NXS races scheduled on May 17 and August 1 at Iowa Speedway. He has one pole and one top 15 finish on the 0.875-mile track.

The Woodlands, Tex. native finished ninth in NXS debut at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, then led laps the following week at Phoenix International Raceway.

The Iowa Speedway configuration should play right into Brennan’s skill set, and I'm looking forward to seeing him have successful runs at each event.

“I am pleased that Brennan will be running the No. 42 DC Solar Camaro in the XFINITY Series at both Iowa events this year,” said team owner Harry Scott Jr. “He has really impressed me so far this year with his performances in Las Vegas and Phoenix.

“The Iowa Speedway configuration should play right into Brennan’s skill set, and I'm looking forward to seeing him have successful runs at each event. We’re excited to have DC Solar on board for those two additional races and appreciate them supporting Brennan and our program.”

Poole, who is now scheduled to run 17 races for HSM, will make his next start this weekend at his home track – Texas Motor Speedway.
