Robie, Willoughby team up with Waste Management for partial Busch North schedule.

Jarod Robie, who is competing for Rookie of the Year honors in the Hills Bros. All Pro Series, NASCAR Touring, has joined forces with Mark Willoughby to race in approximately ten NASCAR Busch North Series races starting this weekend at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, New Hampshire.

"We're going to try to run as many shows as we can, when we're not running in the All Pro Series," Robie said. "Mark's my crew chief for my All Pro cars, and this is a great opportunity for me. We had a really good day practicing at Lee last Saturday, the car was fast. We've got a pretty good feel for the car, I adapted to it pretty well, and I think we should be pretty successful."

Backing this effort are sponsors Waste Management, St.Jean Auctioneer, RAM General Contractors, Lovering Volvo, Servino Trucking, Gagne Plumbing, and Michael Green Electric.

Robie, 22, has two previous starts in the Busch North Series. He will be registering for the Busch North Raybestos Rookie of the Year program, with efforts being run by Willoughby, his All Pro crew chief.

"We're going to try for the rookie of the year deal. It's going to be tough to do in ten races, but we're going to give it a whirl," Robie said. "They put up a thousand dollars a race for the highest finishing rookie, and we're going to try to win it."

The Busch North efforts are being made with the blessing of Robie's All Pro team, which is based in Florida.

"The guy who owns the All Pro team is all for it, he owns the tractor trailer we'll be using for the Busch North car," Robie said. "It's a good deal. We've got a real good team, there's a bunch of guys who've worked with me before combined with Willoughby Motorsports' existing crew. There's nine or ten guys who are here at the shop all the time."

Robie's Busch North schedule tentatively includes races at Lee (NH) USA Speedway, Seekonk (MA) Speedway, Beech Ridge (ME) Motor Speedway, three races at Stafford (CT) Motor Speedway, Thunder Road International Speedbowl (Barre, VT), Lime Rock (CT) Park, and the September 14th race at the New Hampshire International Speedway.

"We want to qualify the best as we can, run in the top ten and get some consistent finishes, and we'd like to win a race in Busch North this year," Robie said. "If the Rookie of the Year thing happens, and it's going to be tough to win it running only ten shows, that will be great. To be able to say I ran for Rookie of the Year in two series in the same year, that's pretty cool.

"We've got some decent sponsors like Waste Management who do a lot of stuff for us." he continued. "If we can have a good showing and show them what we can do, we'll make them happy and hopefully it will bring bigger and better things for the future. It's a great deal. We've got great equipment, good cars, good motors, good help and great sponsorship."
