Scarborough, ME -- Two historic and well-known companies will join forces with Kelly Moore for the upcoming Busch North Series race at New Hampshire International Speedway on May 13th. NAPA Auto Parts representative Mike Roy announced that NAPA will be the primary sponsor for Moore Racing, inking a one-race deal with the 1995 Busch North Series Champion. "We are extremely excited to be involved with Kelly and his team," stated Roy. "This past week we held an open house at our NAPA store in Westbrook, Maine and Kelly allowed visitors to tour his transporter, look over his race car, and we were so impressed with the turn out and all the positive comments from our customers. Kelly is a great fit for NAPA; he is an excellent ambassador for this sport and NAPA. He is without a doubt one of the best drivers on the Busch North Series tour." Though the sponsorship arrangement is a one-race deal, both NAPA and Moore Racing are hopeful that they will be teaming up again in the near future.

NAPA was founded in 1925 to meet America's growing need for a world-class auto parts distribution system. By providing excellent customer service for 75 years, NAPA has become the industry leader. NAPA's strength is unrivaled, with 6,200 NAPA AUTO PARTS stores, 69 Distribution Centers, 9,600 affiliated NAPA AutoCare repair facilities, 200,000 parts in inventory every day, and more ASE-Certified Parts Professionals than anyone in the industry

Moore Racing has also added Snyder's of Hanover and Shaw's Supermarket as an associate sponsor for the 125-lap race. Maine food distributor Peter Michaud was responsible for putting together a single race package for the historic Pretzel Maker. "This was a natural fit for Snyder's and Shaw's, they are both interested in advertising through motorsports and why not join with the most successful competitor on the Busch North Series," Michaud said. "We're really looking forward to this weekend and we'll be bringing a number of corporate people to the event to join in the fun."

The Snyder's of Hanover tradition was started back in 1909 and since that time has provided consumers with potato chips and now world famous Sourdough pretzels. They have also won over many new pretzel fans with such innovative variations as flavored Pretzel Pieces, Nibblers and their newest addition, the flavored Hard Pretzel, Pumpernickel & Onion.

Moore and his team are anxious to get back to racing this weekend, especially at NHIS. "We've had some real success at New Hampshire and all of us on the Busch North Series are grateful to the Bahre family for building this excellent facility," said Moore. "Our cars were fast here last year and our recent test sessions really pumped the team up and we're definitely ready to go racing."

The second race of the 2000 Busch North Series campaign is scheduled to take the green flag on Saturday, May 13 at 2:45pm.
