Carrie Miller Wins the Pro4 Truck Championship at Stockton 99 Speedway

Saratoga, CA, September 25, 2003 -- It was 57 years in the making and, it took Carrie Miller to do it; Carrie Miller of Saratoga California has won the Pro4 Truck Championship at Stockton 99 Speedway in only her second year of full time racing. Carrie is also one of the only women in the history of NASCAR to win a division championship at any level at a NASCAR sanctioned track.

On her way to winning the Pro4 Truck championship, Carrie took 5 main event wins, 3 trophy dash wins and 6 fast (qualifying) times.

Carrie gives credit for her success to her crew (Crew Chief, John Thompson and Ray Miller). "It is really exciting to win, I think winning on the track lets you know that all the effort off the track paid off. Ray and John spent uncountable hours during the week preparing the truck for Saturday."

The winning effort has not been easy. The Miller Motorsports team has gone though a number of 2.3 Liter Ford motors searching for a high-powered combination that would hold together for more than a single night. Never willing to give up, the guys at Miller Motorsports went through eight motors reaching for their brass ring. Carrie still talks about limping her truck around the track on double points night for points. "It is not fun being lapped every 4 circuits, but you have to focus on points. You have to keep going."

The effort is not lost on the series director. Raymond Jones, Pro 4 Truck Director, observed, "the season started off a little rough for Carrie as her truck broke on double points night early in the season and, she found herself down in the points standings. Carrie and her team rebounded from their early season troubles and--have 5 wins."

Carrie Miller and her team put out a maximum effort for the fans. Jones is impressed. "Carrie has--established herself as a fan favorite in only her first year at the speedway. Carrie and her race team are hands down the kids choice as their favorite with Carrie always having something for the kids after the races."

Carrie Miller and Miller Motorsports efforts have been supported all year by Metal-Craft, Alfi's Auto Body, Pick n Pull, Cell Stop Warehouse and, Millers Automotive. Miller Motorsports is also supported by on and off the track by Clinton & Ethel Miller and Michael & Kelly Drysdale.

Looking forward to 2004, Miller Motorsports has already expanded their team to two trucks and are beginning the development of a new truck for Carrie Miller. The team has also begun an aggressive sponsor campaign for 2004.
