EVENT REVIEW: Robert Huffman picked up win number three of the 2000 racing season in four starts in the April event.at Coastal Plains. Huffman dominated the event taking the lead on lap 29 and leading for the rest of the event. However his win didn't come easy as a late race caution allowed B. J. Mackey to close the gap. When a final caution waved on lap 120, that put Mackey;s machine on Huffman's back bumper for the restart. Over the final three laps, Mackey kept Huffman in his sights and came close to winning when Huffman's car cutoff as he crossed the start finish line out of fuel.
