Kalamazoo Speedway once again proved the weather man wrong, as Saturday turned out to be a great night for some high octane racing action. With nearly 120 cars in the pits, and five full classes of hot rods, Kalamazoo was the place to be Saturday night. The fans that hung around till the end were greated to a great Fireworks display, put on by Captain Boom Fireworks.

In the Super Lates, John Delarye from Sturgis capitalized on the luck of the draw charging from his outside row 1 starting spot to capture his 1st Wayland Chevrolet Super Late Model feature win of the season Saturday night at Kalamazoo Speedway. Ryan Wheeler's evening ended abruptly after a bout with the 1st-turn wall on lap 1. Al McGlothlen who was running in 5th spot was caught up in a turn 2 melee with Dan McEndarfer as they were trying to avoid Scott Cunningham who had spun. McEndarfer would continue on to finish 13th. John Chapman finished 2nd with Phil Massuch 3rd, Curt Spalding 4th and Andy Bozell 5th. Completing the top 10 were Rick Sexton, Phil Bozell (from 20th starting spot), Dave Lober, Hank Miller and Steve Needles. SLM heat winners were Todd Harrington, Lober and Chapman with Cunningham victorious in the Last Chance race.

The Q-Lube Wolverine Outlaw Winged Midget Series was on hand with a strong contingent of 21 cars. Nick Mitchell from Toledo, OH scored the win in their 25 lap main event. Mitchell and Chris Hettinger were heat winners with Hettinger setting fast time with a lap at 12.104.

Brian Bergakker drove a flawless race to record his 1st Best Way Disposal Limited Late Model feature win of the year. A multi-car crash in turn 2 on lap 5 eliminated Luke Krick and Mike Zordan. Bergakker had built a commanding 1/2 track lead but, saw that go away after Jim Abbott spun in turn 4 on lap 25. The ensuing yellow put 5-time feature winner Brandon Lyons right behind Bergakker but, Bergakker would go on to record the triumph. Following Lyons across the stripe was Jim Hunderman in 3rd, Jon Orr 4th and Mickey Cornwell 5th. Mike Brooks was 6th followed by Michelle Sexton, Matt Krywosinski, Jason Simpson and Tom Wright. Heat winners were Orr, John Russell and Rob Hardy. Tom Rutherford won the B feature.

Ben Raber posted his 3rd E&D's High Performance Sport Stocks feature win in their 20 lap main. Rod Littell hit the turn 1 wall at the start but, would continue on to finish 9th. Bryan VanZile had a commanding lead only to spin on lap 14 in turn 2. After restarting at the rear VanZile charged back to salvage an 8th place finish. Courtney Weston followed Raber at the finish in 2nd place, with Travis Hall 3rd, BJ Orr 4th and Trent Hellenga 5th. Rounding out the top 10 were Toby Montgomery, Todd Foote, VanZile, Littell and Del Heckelman. Heat wins went to John TerMeer and VanZile.
