LAS VEGAS– Race fans enjoyed an Easter egg hunt and exciting race action at The Orleans NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday.

Mike Cofer, former San Francisco 49er’s kicker, captured his first NASCAR Late Model win at the Bullring. Cofer started eighth in the 40-lap main event and moved to the third spot on lap 25 behind Thane Alderman and race leader Scott Gafforini. Alderman and pole setter Gafforini tangled on lap 34 and were sent to the back of the field giving Cofer the lead. Cofer held off Rich Attisani and Wayne Jacks for the win.

“ I was sitting back until five laps to go,” Cofer said.

In NASCAR Outlaw Stock action, Glenn Burke collected his third win of the season. Mark Schottmuller finished second followed by Len DeJoria and Ron Barrette.

Colorado state Legends Cars champion, Danny Medina collected his first win of the season. Medina held off Michael Morrissey, Robby Guevara and Robert Gayton for the win. Note -- 44 Legends Cars qualified for race activity.

“ It’s good to be back in the winner’s circle at Las Vegas,” said Medina, who has won in previous years at the Bullring.
