LAS VEGAS - Despite rain in the city of lights, The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway enjoyed a successful season opener of the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series.

The Legends division was the second largest, with an entry list of 21 drivers. Fourteen year-old Spencer Clark and Kyle Busch provided bumper-to-bumper action for the entirety of the 20-lap feature. After the two made contact during the last lap, Spencer Clark spun and finished in third place. Tyree Brown snuck past Clark to take second and Busch took the checkered flag to claim first.

Late Model driver Rich Attisani participated in the Hoosier Tire $20,000 Challenge by starting at the back of the pack, despite earning pole position. In spite of several cautions, he only was able to climb his way through the pack to finish in fifth place. Had he come back to win the feature, he would have gone home $5,000 richer -- courtesy of Hoosier Tires. Winner of the 50-lap feature was Barry Bradshaw, with Wayne Jacks and Ray Hooper, Jr., following.

Thunder Roadsters started the evening's races with a 10-lap feature won by Charlie Wahl. Richard Kerr was the winner of the Outlaw Stock 20-lap feature, while Jerry Walton took the Grand American Modified victory.
