LAS VEGAS– The 11th Annual NASCAR Late Model Classic presented by Star Nursery and the Mechanix Wear Speed Trucks return to the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this Saturday.

The Bullring will be host to top NASCAR Late Model drivers on the West Coast. Drivers from six states including California, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington will travel to Las Vegas for the 140-lap main event. Rookie sensations Kyle Busch and Jason Allen are among the local drivers that have pre-entered the event. Allen is the Bullring’s 2001 NASCAR Late Model champion and rookie of the year. Nevada Secretary of State, Dean Heller, who finished seventh at Champion Speedway in Carson City, will compete in his Dr. Pepper-sponsored Pontiac.

The Mechanix Wear Speed Trucks will make their fourth and final appearance of the season at the Bullring. The championship will come down to the final laps of the 100-lap race. Troy Decuir of Pinon Hills, Calif. leads Jeff Davis of Anaheim, Calif. by a mere 28 points.
