Burton, the 16-year-old son of NASCAR veteran and current NBC TV analyst, Jeff Burton, has signed a multi-year deal with the marketing agency co-owned by Sprint Cup driver Kevin Harvick and his wife, DeLana.

It’s really, really a big confidence booster to me for Kevin Harvick – one of the greatest Sprint Cup drivers today – to believe in me

Harrison, who just completed his first full season in the K&N Pro Series East and will make his Camping World Truck Series debut Oct. 29 at Martinsville, Va., was named to this year’s 11-member NASCAR Next class, an industry-wide initiative designed to spotlight the best and brightest rising young stars in racing.

Why he's becoming a KHI Management client

“This is definitely an important time in my career to get an agent or agency. I’m making my first Truck start here soon and some opportunities are opening up for me in the future that I’m really excited about,” Harrison told Motorsport.com.

“It’s a lot for me and my family to manage. I think having someone to help us with that like KHI is really going to make our lives a lot easier and we’ll be to enjoy some time to ourselves.”

Harrison said he was impressed with KHI Management’s diverse client list, which includes his father; UFC fighters Miesha Tate and Donald Cerrone; country music singer Jake Owen; PGA golfer Jason Gore; and amateur motocross prodigy Ryder DiFrancesco, among others.

“KHI Management has some really big-name celebrities already and they also have people who aren’t household names but are just starting out,” Harrison said. “I’ve seen what they’ve done with people like that and I feel like they are the right choice for me.

“If you can get a group like KHI behind you, it’s only going to make you better in the future.  I’m a young driver trying to build a brand and they can help with that, like working hand-in-hand with NASCAR.”

A young, but impressive career

In his relatively brief racing career, Harrison has already set several milestones. He finished third in his ARCA debut earlier this season at age 15; he is the youngest winner in NASCAR Whelen All-American Series history; and won his first pole at age 11 in Late Models.

“I have had my eye on (Harrison) since his early days in quarter midgets, and he has improved markedly with each passing year,” team co-owner Kevin Harvick said in a statement.

“Harrison has the talent to be an extremely successful driver, and when you couple that with the Burton name and reputation, you have a winning combination.”

Harrison said having Harvick’s support is “overwhelming.”

“With all these opportunities and even with working with KHI, you still have to go out and show results on the race track. It’s really, really a big confidence booster to me for Kevin Harvick – one of the greatest Sprint Cup drivers today – to believe in me and to be a part of his organization.”

In addition to his Truck series debut, Harrison also has several Super Late Model races schedule before the end of the year.

His plans for next season have not yet been finalized.

“There are a lot of options that I have but nothing is set. I’ll definitely be in Super Late Models more, I’ll be in some K&N races and hopefully some Trucks,” he said. “With that combination of races in of all those series, I’m excited.

“There’ll definitely be a lot of learning on my part and hopefully a lot of winning.”
