South Boston 2005 Banquet preview

South Boston Speedway's annual awards banquet slated Saturday, Dec. 10

SOUTH BOSTON, VA. -- South Boston Speedway will put the finishing touches on the 2005 season on Saturday, Dec. 10 when America's Hometown Track will host its annual awards banquet.

The 2005 awards banquet will be held at The Prizery in South Boston. A social hour will be held at 6 p.m. and will be followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and the presentation of awards at 8 p.m.

Tickets are currently available for the awards banquet. Tickets are priced at $30 each and can be obtained at the speedway office or by phoning the track at 1-877-440-1540.

Season tickets are also currently being sold for the 2006 racing season at South Boston Speedway and would make a great Christmas gift for your special race fan this holiday season.

A total of 19 events have been slated as part of the 2006 South Boston Speedway season. And, race fans can purchase season tickets, good for all events in 2006, for $150. A season ticket pass for youth, ages 10-15, is available for the 2006 season at a cost of $99.

By popular demand, tailgating spots along the backstretch at the historic four-tenths mile asphalt oval will, once again, be available for the 2006 racing season at South Boston Speedway. Spaces are available for the entire season or on a weekly basis.

The tailgating area will be open for cars and trucks. Grills and unlimited size coolers will be available in the tailgating area.

Tailgating passes good for the entire season are priced at $285.
