EVENT REVIEW: 1999 Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring NAPA Filter Rookie of the Year Jimmy Britts will always have found memories of this race track. Britts won his first series event here in 1999 after starting on the outside front row to pole winner David Hutto. Britts took the lead from Hutto on lap 50 when Hutto's machine drifted high in turn one. He then was able to hold off Jake Hobgood and two rookie contenders Brandon Head and Zach Brewer to preserve his first win. Ironically Britts' first win came in a borrowed race car. Britts rented a car from Scott Weaver after Britts' car had a motor break in the previous event.
