NASCAR RETURNING TO THE GLEN FOR THE 24TH STRAIGHT YEAR IN '09
Centurion Boats at The Glen and Zippo 200 Weekend Will Again Feature Both NASCAR Sprint Cup and NASCAR Nationwide Series

Watkins Glen, NY (August 19, 2008) -- There is constant change at Watkins Glen International but one thing continues to stay the same, the weekend NASCAR returns to the historic road course. National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) Officials announced the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series schedules today confirming that Kyle Busch will defend his Centurion Boats at The Glen victory on the historic road course's traditional weekend. The Centurion Boats at The Glen weekend will take place August 6-9, 2009.

"We are proud of our place on the 2009 NASCAR schedule and our 24 year history with the premier racing series," stated Craig Rust, president of Watkins Glen International. "The Glen is a very high-speed and technical track and has evolved over the years in order to play host to all of the top forms of motorsports. We will continue to do so to remain the top road racing facility in North America."

This past year fans witnessed several firsts during NASCAR's annual visit to The Glen. Kyle Busch became the first driver in NASCAR history to claim three road course victories in a single season and earned his first win at WGI in the Centurion Boats at The Glen. Marcos Ambrose won the first NASCAR race of his career with his victory in the Zippo 200. Fans were treated to the traditional Saturday night concert, an expanded manufacturers' row, and the new Budweiser Tiki Hut. Fans should expect this great entertainment and more in 2009. Tickets for the 2009 season are expected to go on sale in December.
