WS: Irwindale II: Scott Gaylord race notes

Gaylord finished 5th and wins POWERade award

Series veteran Scott Gaylord of Lakewood, Colo., in the No. 00 Oliver Gravity Separators/Denver Seminary Chevrolet Finished fifth and wins the POWERade Power Move of The Race Award: Gaylord, made a strong charge to the front at Irwindale, earning him his second POWERade Power Move of the Race Award for 2004. Gaylord moved from 16th to fifth in the 152-lap race. At each Grand National Division event, POWERade presents the award to the driver who advances the most positions. This was Gaylord"s eighth top five finish in 2004.

Gaylord finishes 4th in the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series 2004 championship stadings. This is Gaylord's third top five finish in the championship.

Gaylord also won both the POWERade Power Move of the Race and the Featherlite Most Improved Driver year end Awards for 2004 earning an extra $9,000. This will be Gaylord's second in a row POWERade year end award.

Featherlite Most Improved Award is for improving the most finishing positions from the previous event.

Gaylord has been invited to compete in the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown, Nov. 11-13
