Local Driver to Make NASCAR Camping World Series Debut at Miller Motorsports Park

TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH (July 29, 2008) -- Shane Hubbard, a 37-year-old second-generation racing driver from Spanish Fork, Utah, will be making his debut appearance with the NASCAR Camping World Series when the tour visits Miller Motorsports Park this weekend, August 1-2. He will be the only Utah-based driver in the field.

Hubbard, who has been racing since 2004 in late model and truck competition in California, Arizona and Nevada, will drive the No. 47 SNG Racing Ford Fusion in this weekend's race. The team is sponsored by G.L. Hubbard Trucking, Triple H Hunting, Best Deal Springs and Brereton Automotive.

SNG Racing has been racing for almost four decades. Founding brothers Gary, Todd and Bruce Hubbard hold three championship titles and numerous track records in Utah, Idaho, California, and Nevada. With the passing of Todd Hubbard, the next generation, Gary's son Shane, has taken the driver's seat to continue the racing tradition.

"We are really excited about this first race and look forward to many more," said team owner Gary Hubbard. "A great deal of thanks goes out to our sponsors for making this happen. We are looking forward to a great season. We are the first team from Utah to give this a shot, and we are determined to make an impact."

"I'm really looking forward to this," said Shane Hubbard. "Miller Motorsports Park is an awesome facility, and I'm proud to represent Utah in the NASCAR Camping World Series. Our team has worked really hard to prepare for the race, and we're going to give it everything we have to do well in front of our family, friends and local fans."

This will be the second visit to Miller Motorsports Park by the NASCAR Camping World Series. Admission will be free to everyone on Friday, August 1. Tickets for Saturday, August 2, are priced at $25 for general admission and $40 for grandstand seats. The track is also offering a "4 for $44" deal that includes a grandstand ticket for the NASCAR Camping World Series race, a 10-minute voucher for karting at the Miller Kart Track, a voucher for a November 2008 Utah Jazz home game and a voucher for a Salt Lake Bees home game.

Another highlight for fans will be the availability of Sim Races on Friday evening and midday Saturday. For prices starting at $20, fans will be able to strap into a race car and ride along with a professional driver in a simulated race with another car. This was a huge crowd-pleaser last year and should be equally popular this year.

Support races for the NASCAR Camping World Series include the Pacific F2000 Championship and the Miller Park Racing Association.
