Notes of Interest:
* Left Coast Return: Burney Lamar is no stranger to Phoenix International Raceway's victory lane. Lamar visited it after winning the famed Copper Classic in 2005 and again, that same year, when he won in the NASCAR Camping World West Series.
* Phoenix NNS Stats: In two starts, Lamar has one top-10 start (April, 2006) and one top-20 finish (April, 2006). His return to the one-mile short track in 2008 was not as satisfying. Lamar's day ended after only 66 laps due to a crash.
* Where can you see Burney Lamar this weekend? Lamar will appear for Q&A on-stage at the SPEED Cantina @ Phoenix International Raceway. Check him out on Friday, April 17th at 4:30 PM alongside Braun Racing teammate, Jason Leffler.
* What's up next? Brian Vickers returns to the wheel of the No. 32 Dollar General Toyota next weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.
Burney on racing at Phoenix:
"I absolutely love running at Phoenix. I've raced there a lot over the course of my career. One of my most memorable wins was the 2005 Copper World Classic at PIR. I am really looking forward to getting back there in my Dollar General Camry. I know that Trent (crew chief) and the 32 guys are going to give me a good car. It is exciting to return to a track that I know my way around and do it in a Nationwide car that I know will be competitive."
Equipment Information
The No. 32 Dollar General team will compete with chassis #BR021 in this weekend's Bashas' Supermarket 200. Chassis #21 was last seen at O'Reilly Raceway Park (July, 2008) with James Buescher behind the wheel. Buescher also wheeled chassis #21 around Gateway International Raceway the week before ORP, charging from 41st to a seventh-place finish.
