Testing at Firebird:
Next weekend will officially kick off the 2002 pre-season test schedule with the National Time Trials, January 18-20, at Firebird International Raceway in Phoenix.
PRO National testing will be held January 25-27 at Southwestern International Raceway in Tucson, Ariz.
The pre-season action concludes Febuary 1-3 with Pro and Sportsman testing at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Ashley Force to join Team Force in Phoenix test:
John Force announced the official early season plans of Team Force's fourth member, Ashley Force.
Force's 19-year-old daughter is attending the Frank Hawley's school in Florida.
She'll join the team at scheduled test sessions in Phoenix and Tucson.
Her national debut has been scheduled for the NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals in Las Vegas April 4-7.
Ashley Force will compete at several Division 7 races with backing from All Pro/Bumper to Bumper, Auto Value, Fram/Autolite, and Ford.
Lucas Oil signs with Kenny Bernstein:
Six-time and reigning NHRA champion Kenny Bernstein has announced that Lucas Oil Products, Inc., has made a three-year commitment to join the Budweiser King team as a major associate sponsor.
The reigning Top Fuel championship dragster will be known as the Budweiser King/Lucas Oil dragster.
