BATON ROUGE, La- Recent O'Reilly Nationals Super Comp runner-up Erica Enders lost in the second round at the fourth stop on the Division 4 Federal Mogul Drag Racing Series at State Capitol Dragway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Enders put her Exide Batteries Dragster into the second round by putting a .403 light with a 8.907 in the first round, but came up .386 red in round two.

"We figured out that I did my job on the tree, I had a good 'thumb reaction', its just that it jerked the nose out of the beams on the line. We are adjusting the 4-link, and doing some other things to compensate," said Enders.

Erica's dad and crew chief Gregg Enders added, "Erica is an experienced driver. She had close to 4000 runs in her Jr. Dragster. She just needs a good crew chief and I need some more experience. We have been getting a lot of help from Tommy Costales with Houston Engine and Balance in getting the car dialed in. The car is right, the driver is right, we just need some more time to get it dialed in. We are going to go some rounds this year, just give us some time and they will get use to seeing us."

The next race for the Exide Batteries/Gates Hoses team will be at Hallsville Raceway for the fifth stop on the Division 4 tour. Enders will be looking to improve on her Baton Rouge finish to solidify her in the divisional and national points standings.

"I want to win and prove to everybody that Houston was no fluke, I can do it," Enders said.

Gregg Enders said, "We are glad that the veterans already know we are here."
