Checker-Schuck's-Kragen becomes Official Auto Parts Store

CHECKER-SCHUCK'S-KRAGEN BECOMES OFFICIAL AUTO PARTS STORE OF NHRA

GLENDORA, Calif. -- CSK Auto, Inc., the Phoenix-based parent company of Checker-Schuck's-Kragen Auto Parts stores, has reached a multi-year agreement with the National Hot Rod Association to become the Official Auto Parts Store of the NHRA, NHRA Vice President of Sales Steve Johnson announced. "At Checker-Schuck's-Kragen we have long recognized that the NHRA fan is also our customer," said Joe Spica, Checker-Schuck's-Kragen sales promotions manager. "When the opportunity arose to position Checker-Schuck's-Kragen as the official auto parts retailer of NHRA we were excited to take the position. This truly is a win-win situation for Checker-Schuck's-Kragen, the NHRA and its fans." As the Official Auto Parts Store of the NHRA, Checker-Schuck's-Kragen will receive increased visibility at NHRA Winston Drag Racing Series events. In addition, Checker-Schuck's-Kragen and the NHRA will work together in many promotions, including ticket discount coupon programs. "We're very excited that Checker-Schuck's-Kragen has joined us as the Official Auto Parts Store of the NHRA," said Johnson. Checker-Schuck's-Kragen is also involved with NHRA as the title sponsor of the Checker-Schuck's-Kragen-Nationals at Firebird International Raceway, near Phoenix. The company also provides sponsorship for Del Worsham's Pontiac Firebird Funny Car and Jim Head's Top Fuel dragster.
