Dallas: Jeg's cars are ready for the "Big D"

The Texas Motorplex is a track that can smile on the "factory hot rod" class. The racing surface is one of the smoothest on the NHRA Winston Drag Racing schedule.

In 1997 Jeg Coughlin, Jr. made his NHRA Pro Stock debut behind the wheel at the fall race held at the Texas Motorplex. It is a track that Jeg looks forward to racing each and every year.

"Billy Meyer built the facility with racer and the fan in mind," commented Jeg. "The concrete racing surface is a big plus for the race teams. The layout of the facility and the amenities for the fans really add to the NHRA Winston Drag Racing experience."

"I think the fans are in store for some of the best side-by-side Pro Stock racing of the season," said Jeg. "Our team is very eager to start where we left off."

Troy Coughlin is resting in the No. 6 spot in the NHRA Winston Championship. He has 1009 points and trails Mark Pawuk by 43 points in a battle for the No. 5 position. A strong showing would catapult Troy and his Jeg's Mail Order machine firmly into the No. 5 spot.

"We have three races remaining and the clock is ticking," said Troy. "Our program has shown great strength and consistency. Our entire group is dedicated to ending the 2000 NHRA season with a bang!"
